electric Recaro seat frames

I have manual S6 seats now but can I fit frame from A6(non recaro) electric seats to my S6 seats? I think I read that they are different, but different how? Maybe they can be modified to fit?

I found this answer out the hard / stupid way.

C4 manual seats are a tripod affair like a Mk 1 / Mk 2 Golf, and the electric C4 ones are like a chair with attachment points at each of the four corners.

My C4 manual Recaro seat bases are a tripod affair and the electric seated C4 car does not have the necessary metal bracket attachment on the centre of the 'front' floor welded in by the factory.

Hope this makes some sort of sense.

If someone has a photo it should be much clearer.

Take your time, get the right base to allow it to fit the car, without the need for welding and fabrication. You don't need the grief.

I have manual recaro seats for sale, and person who wants it, is ok to have manual seats, and apparently it is easy to drill the bracket off, so the next person can weld it on.

Basically my question is, can I fit non recaro electric seat base to recaro seats?

I am, but need my fair bit of "car stuff" in my life

Ive got a C4 S4 im scrapping that had electric seats, i will try and get some pictures of the fixing position if you want.

I know I have holes in my chassis to fit electric seats. But I've heard that electric non recaro seat subframe is different to electric recaro seat subframes? Makes sense? Because I think I haven't explained it well.

@ Janis, the non electric Recaro subframes won't be a plug & play fit to your "electric seated" C4 as the attachment points at the front of both types of seat subframes are different.

Manual is one point in the centre.

Electric is two points at either side.

Photos would help Janis and me both, as I'm keen to know how the black plastic 'decorative' covers come off the two front mounting points on the floor, as I didn't want to force them and break them. Any photos of the underside of the black plastic covers would be great. Not urgent.

I know that, I will just remove the middle bracket at the front. But, if I take the subframe off non recaro electric seats, can I put it on my manual recaro seats?

Because I've heard that Recaro seat subframes are different to non-recaro ones?
