OK, if they're white then they've been replaced. They were sold 3 years ago and the buyer sent me a message saying he was happy with them. Might be worth asking him what he's done in that time to get to the bottom of it.

he replied just before you. monkeymagic says they were off you and fitted as normal with nothing different than normal done. it never bothered p.o but i don't like it, i thought the rep gauges would look very much like o.e in day and night. these look rather odd when illuminated.

I only replaced my cluster as the bled led bugged me.
The dials were fitted very carefully and I did think it was odd it only affected rev counter.
How about a self adhesive backing On dial. Not sure what though.

It is completely flat for certain I was careful at every stage even making sure the screw heads didn't get scratched.

As per my PM, you can send the face to me to look at and compare to a set I have here.

I have not received any complaints in 4+ years, so it's certainly not a known issue.

Monkey, did you ever replace bulbs in the holders?

Hi rusty It was apparent after changing the dials. It never bothered me though as my s2 is an occasional use car. I was just glad to be rid of the sticky speedo

morning. so i have got rpm dial off now and held it up against light. it is uniform but you can see light through it easily in comparison to my original faces. if i hold it close to a 1.2watt gu10 the whole dial basically turns a red colour, it appears like where the blanking / blackout parts should be arent so or paint is not thick enough

heres a pic of it from the back....

the speedo one is different from the back . it is white but with red where increments or increments should be?

Hi guys. Is this what it should look like on the rear? Its different to the mph guage. They look great in day but I cant have them lime this illuminated. What do everyone elses look like in the dark when lit up??

I'm not sure anyone can help you with that question.

With over 100 sets sold and no issues previously in over 3 years of use in multiple vehicles, why this set is causing that issue is hard to say but any potential defects would have been spotted, documented and resolved years back.

From what i can see in the thread there have been two offers made. One by the original supplier going out of his way to try and help diagnose an issue and the original seller suggesting he has already provided you some form of recourse too.

If they are not working as you expected (and i would agree something is not right there...) then I'd engage in one of the two options to get you towards a solution.

How about applying something like white fablon. To the back. The only issue may be it blocks too much light .

I know the offers stand I was just trying to find a solution before resorting to that.
