OEM subwoofer in S2, RS2 Avant??

Was there ever an OEM subwoofer in an S2 or RS2 Avant?

I have this, and not sure if it would fit or be of any use in any B3/B4 variant vehicle.
Not even sure those had any Bose components at all, but thought I'd check before I sell it off...



I pulled this out of a 1998 Audi C4 Avant, fwiw.

Not sure about earlier systems but later Bose systems in Audis from 2000 onwards needed special wiring (apparently).

I dont believe there was, I can only see an OEM sub for the cabriolet which was located in the rear seat back if i remember correctly. I keep toying with the idea of grabbing one from a scrappy and seeing if it is plug and play or not.

I had one in my Cab, with an oem Delta head units sound was good with the sub. Better than my S2 with the same head unit.

I know this isn't OEM, but it's the neatest unobtrusive solution I could come up with. It's a Focal 25BUS Sub, it happens to fit in the spare perfectly. Once the boot panel's back in you wouldn't even know it was there.

There's a reasonable amount of space under the the battery tray.

Gives a worthwhile improvement for its size. Just to put it in perspective, it 's relative compared to a bigger dedicated aftermarket sub.

But worthwhile when it is cheap second hand and it's oem.

B4 - Coupe or Avant ?

or

C4 - Saloon or Avant ?

RS2 Avant. Although the spare wheel location is good, often the cd changer was installed there, fixed to the alu' cover
