Starts to lock, moter work, just seems to stop have way down an pop back up again. The boot lock fine, as does the petrol cap cover.

Car's looking so good at the moment, just want to get shot of these little niggles.

check the cable that attaches to your interior door handle, the metal clip that holds this is place has two positions. Try disconnecting the cable on each door on the internal handle, then try locking it. If it all works theres your problem.
        Nice one

The door cards have plastic tubes in which the door pins run.
It is quite possible to fit the doorcards in place and accidentally jam the door pins preventing their motion.
I've done this before and experienced the same troubles you seem to be referring to.
I'd suggest removing the doorcards one at a time to see if this fixes your problems.
