How much of a job is fixing a knacked sunroof

Depends, is it completely dead? Common problem. -
Does the motor still work?! If yes then it could be worm holes what the roof runs on can rust up bad

Sounds like the worm drive is corroded and probably caked up with crap. It's probably easier to find the whole mechanism working on another car and transplant it into your motor. I tried flushing mine out with penatrating oil and then copper lubing the drive but it made no difference.91 Modded 3B
