Audi 80 audio help?? 'M'

Hi,
I have just connected a JVC headunit to the existing harness in the car. When i turn the engine off the light buzzer starts buzzing even thought the headunit is on and turns off after a few seconds off taking the face off. Is this normal??

Turn the engine off and take the key out?
That sound right if so, It buzzes to tell you you have left the radio on. Have had that on all my Audi's.
