  • Help! Head Unit Installation

    Hi

Have got my new Alpine Head unit, having trouble connecting it up.

The Alpine has come with an ISO to Alpine harness, however on connecting it up as is I get nothing.

There is a yellow split wire with spoon connections and a Red wire with dual spooned connections on the harness.
From the car there is white, brown, blue/red andblue/grey.

Please excuse the grammar, I am on the laptop in the car.

    Cheers
    Kris

It might not be a 5 pot or an S2... but at least I have a 20v Turbo in my life again.

Hasn't you car got an ISO harness?

The yellow is power and the red and is the ignition on the Alpine harness

    Car:
    White = aeriel amplier
    blue/grey(white) = illumination
blue/red and brown i've never seen on an S2?

It would appear that I was being really quite dim this afternoon and forgot to swap the reds and yellows for the non-switchable ignition from the S2.

      All is working now.

      It is good.

(Incidently it is an Alpine CDA-9855R)

        Glidetouch!!!

Very good head unit couldnt get on with the glideotuch control personally though was on the lookout for a 9535R which is the same unit but buttons.

it is taking some getting used to I have to admit, but I am very impressed so far.

          Sound quality has been transformed!
