    Front speaker replacement

Keep meaning to get round to this. Two questions

1 I want to keep the OEM speaker cover look but realise the OEM covers are poor. Any advice re replacement or modification ?

2 Where have folk secured the cross over wiring when fitting ?

    Ta in advance

The OEM covers are fine for 4" speakers, really you want to put bass blockers on the speakers and run them above 125 Hz to stop bass getting to them.

The crossovers will fit behind the dash down the holes. Well mine did.

You can modify the dash to accept 5 1/4 speakers, not done it myself but Tekkno did on the Avant.

For the front speaker covers, try cutting the middle out, say a disc 4" diameter. Then, using a spray adhedsive cover the bit left with accoustic fabric, black ideally. The trick is to ensure the fabric is well stretched before putting onto the speaker cover.

End result is it looks OEM, fit's just the same and sounds a *ell of a lot better!

If you want some speaker fabric, I've got loads left - the shop would only sell me 2 meters worth! Just let me know.

        Cheers,
