im thinking of doing this but with a PDA, would the quality be alright coming from the headphone jack?

im thinking of doing this as the pda will be there anyway for satnav use.

this would allow you to plug in ur own hard disk using usb slot, u can get hard disks that hold a lot more than u currently got.

but like i said, i didnt want to go for it because people would laugh at me for having a ripspeed headunit lol
There's other head units with usb on the front such as the JVC KD-SH1000

Another one is the blaupunkt MP66 Memphis, comes with either a 40 or 80 GB hard drive connected via USB.

true, at the time tho (few months back) it was the only one with usb and card reader. i did find some others with usb but u had to purchase a special hard disk that offcourse was overpriced.
