    Couldn't twist so screwed instead

Time to put my two months of lurking behind me. I managed to get the rear panels off and was hoping to twist fit my rear speakers like Greg had suggested here http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=118

Thing is, the cone goes right to the edge on the Infinity Kappas that I bought and twist fitting them would have meant the cone rubbing on the metal. So I drilled some holes (my car is no longer completely stock) making sure I put some coins on where the drill emerged so not to go straight through the panel, and mounted them like that.

Hope this is of use to someone.

One thing that I haven't managed to find out in the forum is how to remove the tweeters in the back. I've got access to them and can see the bottom of them but i can't for the life of me work out how to remove them. They look like they may even be glued in. Has anyone successfully removed them? I know that some of you may tell me that i should just disconnect them and by rid of them but I'm determined to change them!

    Cheers ears.

Marc to get to the tweeters in the back you need to remove the speaker panel as you have, the side bolster of the rear seats which covers a screw behined it.

There is another screw underneath the seatbelt guide.

The final one you have to remove the parcel shelf supports to unclip the carpet and remove the section with the tweeter in

My tweeters were not too bad to remove... You can get your hand on the underside of them, and hold the top, and the plastic ring on the underside unscrews... Its quite difficult to hold tightly enough, but mine came... might be worth a try before removing everything else first...!
