Yup, thats the one alright- looks the business and a perfect match to me.
Really glad I got mine, you will not regret getting one.
The wee external mic that comes with it for the bluetooth phone is also easy enough to place somewhere. According to the manual the optimal place is up on the windscreen frame, next to the interior light switch. Thats where I ended up putting it, but I tried it in another couple of places and it was always dead on.Comment

This post is in totally the wrong location now
- ETA its moved!
I've wanted one for an age, I like the old school Alpine that's in at the minute, but half the illumination LED's have died (I can't get inside the sealed area to replace), a corner of the screen is bleeding liquid crystal and it seems to like tuning itself between stations now, even with RDS turned off, 9 times out of 10 it tunes to some cut your wrists type station like radio 4 or something
Maddagent? did you have to swap the permanent live and the switched live around inside the standard 8 pin black iso socket in the loom. I seem to come across this lots on here and on various other forums.
Did you connect up the GALA? as some love it, others loathe it. Personally I'm thinking of not connecting it up, it's no problem routing a cable, but I'm not sure if I can be doing with the volume going up and down as the car speeds and slows.
I don't have an ipod, but it's handy none the less to have that aux in, in case I do in the future.
I forgot to post where I bought it.
I bought this Grand Prix 7992 from here for £255 delivered and as I had a £10 voucher to use with them, I used it to offset the tenner shipping.
It's the cheapest I could find.
There are some in a few fleabay stores, but they don't list them correctly (model numbers don't correspond to correct colours etc), don't reply to questions asking which actual unit it is (7990=amber, 7992=red, 7993=green and 7995=blue) so balls to them. My money goes elsewhere when sellers can't be arsed to reply to a potential customers questions
Especially avoid a seller called "atzone" who told me to "read the listing or **** off" (listing is for a red 7992, picture is of the red 7992 but his description says blue) I politely told them to try and see if one of these headunits would fit up their arses2001 Avus Silver B5 RS4.

Good choice the red lumination is the right one too match the dashlight.
true is i always recommend Becker head units in a german car
i have an older model becker with nav its an High speed traffic Pro but
its from a Porker so the ilumination is Amber and Porsche comes on the display when you switch it on
think your newer model also looks very nice in the Audi dash
btw there also are beckers with the Audi name on the front iso Becker
Pagani/Aston/Ferrari/Ford/Porsche lots of car manufacturers use Becker units.Attached FilesRS for ‘Rennsport’ - ‘Motorsport’ in GermanComment

Cheers Roy
I've done a good bit of reading up on a few audio forums. like www.talkaudio.co.uk and the becker is a sought after unit. Gets very good reports for it's sound quality and OEM looks, while being easy to use.
I would have probably have gone for a version like yours with satnav, but it's not that long ago I bought a TomTom one XL, and having two satnavs would be a bit daft.

I have a Becker Mexico Pro with blue lighting if you fancy Jas?
(changed my instuments to red so now it dont matches anymore..)
Aint nothing to say on my unit, had It for 2 years nearly and no problems, looks OEM and performes very well on signal reception!
Ps, dont need satnav when driving a s2 do you? It just fun to make a faulty turn to get more driving out of the car

I often travel down the country to shows a stuff, satnav just makes it easier, but taking a wrong turn now and again can be fun yes
I got a bit lost in Birmingham last month, was worried I might end up outside Jamo's where he's then procede to nick all my bits when I wasn't watching

Yeah,
My original loom was missing the switched 12v and the perm 12v was in the wrong place. I had to get switcher 12v and swap it with the perm 12v. No real big deal.
The previous radio had just fed the perm 12v into both pins 4 and 7, and I just used the on/off switch. But this was a no no on the becker, as the off button does not really turn it off, just into a sort of standby mode (still a bit lit up etc, esp with the face off - the cd guides remain lit). Its all sorted properly now, switches off when key is removed from ignition.
According to the manual - it can also be used without the key in, it just switches itself off after an hour! pretty handy.
Never did hook up the GALA speed sensitive volume control thing - partly because it's not on my original loom and partly because I'm not sure I want it either! On the other hand, if you hook it up you can turn it on/off in the setup menus and adjust it's sensitivity. May be worth a look after all.
