Suggestions on where to hide my amp please.

Hey guys. I have a 93 S2 Avant and i have an amp and some new speakers all round to fit. I want the amp in to get better quality sound through the speakers problem is i dont really know where to hide the amp. I want it somewhere out of sight from thieves and so i can also lay the back seats down and use the boot without having to move the amp at all.

Short of dropping it in the spare wheel in the wheel well or shoving it under the front seats, which doesnt seem a great idea incase of leaks or wet carpets

Suggestions on the back of a post card (or on here) please!

This is one of the main problems in the coupe - where to put the audio stuff and still use the boot. But then you have an avant and still manage to make it difficult

The common approach is to make a mock-floor as per Steve's coupe http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8084

But the spare wheel well (if your not using it for a wheel or sub) would be a good one, just make sure its got sapce to circulate air around it.

Depending on how massive the amp is you can bolt it to the spare wheel cover ( this is were I have mine ) or there is room just forward or the battery or even behind it ( i had one here in the past ). The only problem with mounting it on the spare wheel cover is heat soak. Just make sure you mount it the correct way up.

Cheers guys. I did say Avant and yes I know it sounds funny but i had the amp in my Coupe and it was really easy to hide. In the coupe i hid it in the tray under the boot lining at the very end of the boot under the lights as it never seemed to get wet in there but the Avant doesnt have that. Was thinking of going with the wheel well and now am looking into the option of putting it by the battery as its only a small amp.
