    ISO plug for car stereo

    Hi,

Does anyone have the wiring guide for the ISO plug or could someone take a couple of snaps of their ISO plug in the S2 coupe?

Need to put an ISO plug back in the car (a kenwood 16 pin plug is in the car at present.) and just wanted to save time from working them out if someone could put some pics ups so i can see which colour wires go where on the plug and then i'll work it out from the ISO plug standard.

    Cheers

If you have a stereo your going to fit or an ISO block you wanna plug in to it when its done, just look at the wires on there.
The manual for the headunit will explain which one is permanent live and which is switch live, either way, its obviously red wire and the yellow wire, the blue wire is the power aerial (switch for the amp) black is earth.

    Speakers are obvious

I'm talking about the original wires that are on the car, the original ISO been chopped off, just want a pic of the standard iso connector on the S2 so i can work out which colour wires do what to the by comparing it to the pic.

I can work it out but it would be alot simplier to reference another S2.

Wheres Sal when you need him? hehe

Jamo it may be quicker/easier/cheaper to go to a scrapyard and get one from an Audi 80/90/coupe/S2/RS2 etc. wiring loom and use that. There is a sub connector that goes to the back speakers and another for the power etc.

All that you should have to connect is the front speakers ( not easy) and the plugs.

Front speaker leads were green and green/black

O.K i'm all done, sat down this evening and worked it out from the existing 16 pin kenwood and the ISO standard and my Head unit is now in i'm semi rocking again.

My question is does anyone have a problem with Illumination on their stereo?

I've connected the Illumination wire up and it's permenantly on.

On closer inspection the illumination wire (white) has been connected to 2 more white wires.

I would like the stereo to work with the dimmer, has anyone got this setup and can help me out / point me in the right direction?

          Cheers
