I wonder if anyone have ever tried the Audi factory activ bass modul that the cabrio uses in the skisack. Its small, some 22 cm and not to powerful but is practical if you travel with huge package and the real subwoofer has to be remowed from the trunk.

Well, I haven't seen it built in but as the name says it should go into the whole where the skisack is at the rear seat. I have a huge Phoenix Gold subwoofer in the trunk which goes down to some 18 Hz. Why I thought about this small augmentation was that when I travel with kids and lotta stuff I must leave the bass box at home. I honestly can't live without the low frequencies and maybe the small built in, thus invisible, no space consuming bassmodul by Audi would help a bit. No eartshakes, I know. There are some on Ebay.de, some of them Bose, others Nokia.Originally posted by JamoMy TV speaker is more powerfull than that!
Where does it normally fit?Gabor

Yea, I considered the underseat version but the electric chair gives no space underneath. I'll check out this skisack version, maybe.Originally posted by JamoAh i see, yeh i have the same problem for weekends when i have stuff to carry sub must come out.
In that case go for it or get a under the seat little usb, mind you they are expensive for the bass they provide.Gabor

Electric Chair? Is this a new security device that you've fitted? If you don't turn the key in a particular fashion, you get fried!

You know.....my side is so low, if a coin gets lost under the seat, my hands cannot reach it.....and this low profile bass speaker is not yet available in our street........my seet is heated and loaded with motors.Originally posted by sidspud

The sad thing is i'm looking for a electric wheelchair motor system It is for a 1/4 scale Morris Minor for my son! Bit different to the usual electric chairOriginally posted by horvathgYou know.....my side is so low, if a coin gets lost under the seat, my hands cannot reach it.....and this low profile bass speaker is not yet available in our street........my seet is heated and loaded with motors.
I was wondering about putting a ported sub bass system in the rear side panels of the coupe. There is plenty of free air in there to make a decent resonant cavity.

imagine, I was cruising the German ebay and there were so many different versions of ported subbass creations that I thought it would be sensible to mould one that goes into the right rear corner of the trunk, where there is a huge cavity towards the rear wheel arch. That space offers itself for bass resonance utilisation.Gabor

could use it as a model and make a beter sub, 8" isn't gonna give you 18Hz, but with for example this speaker 35Hz should be achievable.Originally posted by horvathgWell, I haven't seen it built in but as the name says it should go into the whole where the skisack is at the rear seat.
