ICE install (regular car, so not an Audi..)

thought i could share my ICE install in the beemer for you, maybe fun to see?? otherwise remove the thread

i wanted some time away from the rs, but do something, so why not build "little" ICE in another car?

    The car:

    The Spec:

    4x Re SR 10" dual 2 ohm
    1x Orion hcca D5000 (1640w RMS@ 2ohm)
    2batteries
    dual25 mm2 + and - to the amp.

    some Focal/hertz front kit
    Audiovox dvd stereo

did start on the sub-box a while ago..

    Subs+amp

started building the box in 22mm MDF

    Test fit

front finished, gonna screw on the rear later and cover the sides later..

Started wiring, 6mm2 to each sub. going into a connection so i just need to have 1 cable to the amp.

When i come home i will go buy more cable and finish the sub-box (needs 12cm longer port also, going upwards)

then i will mount 1 more battry in the spare wheel well area, and also have the amp down there

as said, remove if its wrong showing beemer pics here

Crikey is that enough subwoofers?! Nice install

Whats the tool called to cut the circular holes for the woofers? I need to make a subbox myself.

Audio system WAS up and running, Started tweaking and after 10min me and my friend heard some weird noise, located it to a sub and took it out, the membrane(?) has got loose from the metal cage

but it played like hell those 10min, we expected 145Db with almost no gain, and only a 12cm long port (should be around 34cm) so, i will tweak the port, glue the membrane and then im gonna start buurp again

Pictures coming tomorrow, need to get them from my friend first, he held in the photography today

EDIT: And this was played with music, no Hz songs..

Ah ok hence the 10's rather than 12's quicker for fast moving stuff etc.

What have you done about the front speakers?

                          exactly,

the front system are going to be µdimension JR 5 COMP

with an µ dimension amp to that

                            will be good then
