Orange tag thing in Blaupunkt headunit?

What is it? Curiosity got the better of me so I pulled it out, and now it won't go back in and I have no sound as a result (still switches on etc)..

It's not the end of the world, I have a new headunit in the post, but it'd be nice to have some music while I wait for it!

    Can see it here

    Borrowed from someones build thread

Can I fix it somehow? It won't pull all the way out, but it won't stay in either.

It's a security card. To remove it you push it and it pops out so you can stick it in your wallet and the stereo won't work without it. So will it go back in?....

It didn't pop out when I pushed it (I did fiddle with it alot too), I kinda just yanked it out in the end, and it's stuck half way in now... Won't come out, won't stay in

The orange thing is not designed to be removed - or yanked out.

You should have an additional security card. Like a credit card. Grey in colour which you slide into the slot (Ahem....) to unlock the head unit.

When you insert the security card the orange tab also slides into the unit and hey presto all works OK.
        RS2+ (now sold...)

Oh I seeee! So I guess the card must still be there, but I've f*cked the orange bit in relation to it (it worked fine before)

          Oops!
