Medium Wave

I've owned 4 Audi 80's 2 x 2.6, 1 x 19TDI Estate and the latest,an S2, none have been able to receive medium wave, why?

Amplied Aerial isn't being powered or the bee-sting amplier has burnt out.

Theres a white wire which needs to be connected the remote out on the stereo
