I'm really interested in the opinions of people who use it in their cars though. For example I do long 3 hour trips at least 4 times a month and I don't want to listen to the same songs again and again. With 16GB as mdz said that shouldn't be a problem but if yatour supports limited number of folders that means each folder will have so many songs it will be difficult to find a specific band/artist. That kind of advice/feedback is what I'm after.

This is not to say that what Yatour has achieved with their device isn't remarkable. They've added some modern plug and play functionality to an otherwise not particularly useful casette player and it's certainly better to have this option than not to have it at all.
Oh ok - concert must be fine. Well my personal advice is to go with oem look, it is just.. just better.

Re: Folder limitations. If you are really into the tunes, then it maybe an issue. I just let the songs play one after another, i do occasionally skip a song. But that is what i do in real life. Really not much more. Remember, you are driving a car and you don't want to look to headunit, you just want something to play, don't you?
Re: song titles. same as above. that is what I was a little disappointed before i installed my changer. But really i don't care. I know the most names of the songs i have in my car anyway. Why would you need to see that really? I don't. It would sure be nice to have, but in car it is not a necessity. It is on your phone, mp3 player, pc, or home cinema, where you can dedicate time to listening to the tunes. In car it is a secondary task.

Yatour (and others for that matter) is really great in general. But again, if you are much into quality, this may not be the best solution. it is just okay - or good enough for me. Everything is stock in my car.

I have bit the bullet and acquired an after market unit, and damn - it looks good for an aftermarket unit - not comparing it to oem look though. My HU is a device that is built for car enthusiasts - not too fancy, and reasonably good quality. But i have a soft spot for oem look. But not for now.

Check out Grom Audio for Concert

For iphone / smartphone /bluetooth support, look into GROM audio. I picked up one of their units about 2 years ago and works great. Runs through CD input ~ no changer unless you run a manual splice (blue plug IIRC), and biggest thing of all the face controls will go to iphone so I can track back or forward on music / Pandora with the head unit buttons which I really like (plus will charge too). Sound quality is solid, I get some alt /amp whine, but that's my setup, not the GROM.

Thanks guys. State'd RS2 Coupe I didn't know there were other options on the market as regards concert I radio. The price makes you pause for a bit but the promotion video for the product looks promising. Thanks for the info.

Grom must be better quality than yatour, unless it is the same yatour in another box.. )
But does it support concert 1?

Grom supports lossless formats, yatour doesn't; so it's not the same in another box

Sorry to bring up an old thread. I bought a concert radio but it seems it's from an Audi TT with Bose system fitted. So when I turn it on it says ''BOSE'', everything lights up and radio frequency is displayed but no sound comes out from any of the front or rear speakers. Has anyone fitted a concert on a B4 Audi 80 with factory fitted front and rear speakers? How should I program the Headunit (since these cars haven't got OBD communication with the radio) to power the front and rear speakers from the internal amplifier? How should I wire the speakers to the rear of the unit?

put the radio in the newer car or plug k line pin in the radio to 7th pin of diagnostic adapter to core the radio. you need to disable bose completely and set it to 4 passive speakers, if that is your setup.

Thanks domas. I don't think this has been sufficiently documented so that I have an idea whether I'm confident enough to undertake such task. Do you know of a website where I can find a writeup of the process so that I know beforehand what needs doing?

Not sure really, because I have never done it myself. Putting it into newer car may be easier

Recently I was trying to recode tha radio in a friends a4 b5 - radio just wouldn't respond. I assumed a faulty K-line in the car.

What I will to is to put it in my even older car with 2x2 diag plug (feed the power for diag adapter and for the radio in my car) AND connect the K-line pin directly to the pin 3rd (iirc) in the radio
I have 2x2 adapter so it is either of 2 pins in the white adapter that goes to the 7th pin of 16 pin connector http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...for-Older-Cars

It is just easier this way because you will not need to fiddle around the pins of obd2 connector when it is plugged in the car. This way I will only connect the black diag connector to the car and use white one to wire it directly to 3rd pin of radio power connector.

I hope it is understandable. I may be trying to do this this weekend, but I am not sure
