Standard Fit Radio in an RS2

Could anyone tell me what the standard fitment radio was for the RS2 in its day please?

Both previous ones of mine came a Sony radio cassette head unit and 6 cd changer in the boot....Nothing particularly fancy this days, but at its time probably of decent standard.

Standard speakers not very good....

OE fitment looks to be the same single DIN sized Audi Bose Gamma that is in my Jan 94 build German spec S4 V8.

think things in the uk spec were done different. pretty sure s2 and rs2 got sony.

I agree, certainly UK spec. S2 got Sony.

Didn't someone do a detailed post on here a while back of the audio systems fitted? It's certainly been discussed before.

The stock unit in Germany was an Bose unit taperecorder, think it was a panasonic in the UK, as i recall.

That would be the Gamma CC or the Audi/Bose Gamma CC. No idea about the UK but I know we talked about the UK options before. I have done several RS2 and S2 build tag documents that indicate that the car was prepped for a radio and supplied with speakers but purposely not supplied with a radio, i.e. the 8AA build tag code. On that basis all bets are off.

8AD is the "Gamma" radio code.

Mine has a grundig cassette player and grundig speakers. The speakers have powered by Porsche on them look like it's all factory

According to the user manual and the sales brochures in front of me, the (RHD) RS2 came with a Sony system.
