I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a few part numbers.Ive got an s2 Jreg 3B but cant find anywhere that lists front shockers and top mounts.Iwould be very gratefull if someone can help me out.Just want stock stuff or slightly uprated.whats the best to getandwhere do i get it andwhatabout top mounts i have been told there are 2 different colours? whats the difference betweenthem. For top mounts:
8A0 412 323 D - green
857 412 323 B - blue
The blue was fitted to the Audi quattro and is harder and less compliant. The green was standard on the S2 and is slightly softer. With either type, they don't last all that long
For shocks, I would suggest RS2 front shocks which are half the price of S2 items. 8A0 413 503 JMike

A bit harder yes, but I've seen them and the're a work of art, real precision engineering. You can get them in different colours (anodised).
Makes quite a difference to the handling too.Comment

How long do these ones last? ive been thru several sets of the supossedly higher rated blue mounts. They dont last more than few months!!!!CoupeComment

The QRSport top mounts come with a 6yr warrenty... strange number of years, but thats what they said when i asked.Ant

contacted QRS Friday for a set of alloy top mounts, £140+VAT, on stock and now ordered. I've decided not to bother with the rubber mounts after readying many posts on this informative forum. My goal is to replace at the same time: springs and dampers (bought already), top mounts (ordered) RARB (ordered, adjustable whiteline) and front and rear powerflex bushes, should work.
