if you want shocks it would seem that the bilstein are the preferred option

      I 2nd that!

But Koni's are softer and more suited for day to day driving.

Yep, I had the billies on the front of mine and it was all crash/bang. Put the Koni's in yesterday and its great, like a new car.

are Koni firmer than standard though? mine are due for replacement and I don't want it any firmer at all.

Yes they are but if you run them with standard springs i doubt you'll notice a difference, shame Lee isn't around anymore as this was his setup.

if you want standard feel then replace with standard shocks.

I'll tell you how Bilsteins feel with Koni springs soon enough.

i dont mind a harsh ride rally just want it to look lower and handle well. What springs do u reccomend with the konis? How much are the springs?

just found some springs. They are gmax springs would they go with the konis? just wondered if these were poor quality or if they are ok. there £91 so i guess they are not up to the standard of the h+r springs.

I am running Bilstein sports on standard springs and the ride is perfect. Very comfortable and sporty without being too harsh. If anything it could do with being a tiny bit firmer...

I didn't realise your Nothelle springs were made by H&R and cost £407 when new!
