  • ARBs

When I had my car serviced during doing the wheel alignment they noted:

'wear in n/s/r anti roll bar link'

I can't feel anything wrong with it at it doesn't make a noise. I wondering were the wear is though. I'm guessing the bushes are the only thing that can go as the rest of it is just metal links etc

Also since they did the alignment the steering now creaks. It's worse as you are just setting off (getting out of parking spaces etc) and quietens down the more you drive. Coinsidence and/or possible problem?

Also a question for Martyn - What is included in the rear RS2 ARB kit you list on your site? Do you get the drop links?

    Cheers

When I chaged my stock ARBs for RS2 items my rear NS bush was worn too. The wear was on both the bush and the metal roll bar!! The bar seemed to have worn preferentially to the bush. Quite unexpected. Ditch the lot and get new bushes and bigger ARBs. Most cost effective mod I ever did...transforms the handling and balance on the limit drastically.

Drop links are pretty cheap I think. Change the ARBs anyway. Easy for the Avants :nana:

Cheers, Not bothered about the bush really but I'll check if the roll bar or drop link have any wear on them.

Is it worth changing the front one?
If I just beef up the back that will help reduce understeer won't it?
I've not got much body roll anyway as I have konis and it seems to corner pretty flat already.

Leigh the arb kit is the bar, bushes, clamps and bolts, not the drp link, but if you suspect wear there, then may as well do them.

What's the damage for an S2 drop link and an RS2 one?

roughly 20-22 for the S2 one and about 24 ish for the RS2 one. I've shut down all my parts stuff tonight early for once, heading to bed for a change!
