    Hi Paul

Thanks for such a fantastic resource. It's proving to be a really useful source of info for me re the RS2 too.

Any chance of wheel alignment settings for the RS2 in the future?

I know these settings are for normal road use, but does anyone know of any other alignment settings for better grip, wonder if a bit more neg. camber would help??

I'm sure the RS2 guys have -2degrees front camber but they wear the tyres on the inside a lot quicker - it gives more front end grip on track though.

Yep - more negative camber at the front improves turn-in handling, but the down-side is increased wear. Dunno how much can be achieved without modifying the strut where it meets the hub carrier. Old tried and tested trick on many's a McPherson strutted machine

In my experience it is very important to get EVEN settings on alignment where possible ie if the spec says between 5 & 10 and you can get no more than (say) 8 on one side - make sure to match the other side. Easy to say of course, but a truly accurate wheel alignment on a quattro takes the best specialists a long time - even with the funkiest 'Bierrsbath' optical rig.

If anyone is going for alignment soon (I've been putting it off ages) then its best to check or replace all the important joints and make sure the adjustment points can be moved. If the alignment shop has to do it - you will be out extra wedge of course...

Hmm, I'll second that!! finally got the alignment done on mine after about 4 visits to Autopool to replace various bushes first before they could align her :-(( she is now perfectly aligned, but I could of done without the invoice for it :-(((
