I've got to replace my wishbone arms soon, can you get upgraded ones..if so from where??.....if not can you get uprated bushes for the fitting to the car??...
Sorry for all the daft questions but have only had car a fortnight!!...eager to get running right!!!
If you have the pressed steel arms you can upgrade these to cast ones. THis improves the feel and handling considerably IMHO.
I found the best price for these was from quattro corner where they came out at £100 each IIRC. You could do worse then giving them a call.
Cheers
Chris
My wish bone arms where replaced by previous owner as they were NG but cast vs steel ?
They only reason I ask is that I am in engineering in the car industry and the difference between cast and steel is vastly different depending on cast properties and steel tension / yeild.
Can't see how cast is an upgrade to steel ?
Regards,
Paul.
Cast arms do not flex whereas steel ones can - and they are stronger.
Maybe my bushes were worn, but changing the arms (which obviously include new and bigger bushes) definitely made a difference to both how the car felt and handled.
