Suspension - Changing Shocks 7 Springs

    Hi All.

Im going to be changing my shocks, springs and top mounts at the weekend (So long as the springs arrive on Friday like ive been told) and just wanted to ask if there is anything to look out for.

Ive done suspension on cars before but never something 4wd, so am more interested in hearing about anything to watch for etc on the back?

Any tips etc welcomed tho, i have access to plenty of good tools, air guns etc etc and a ramp, so all being well, it shouldnt be too much of a problem (i hope)

Also, what have people used to tighten the QRS topmounts?

    Cheers people!

Strut caps can be a PITA. Make sure you've got new ones at the ready.

My advice is to disconnect the ABS sensor in the engine bay rather than attempt to remove the sensor from the hub.

Ditto the strut cap nuts - 6ft scaffolding pole required last time.

are you using ride height adjustables or standard ? i'm doing same as you as we speak but coilovers. i've hand tighten my qrs mounts and just tappt them tight with a hammer and a screw driver from the grooves. i think you need a special tool .

You need a C spanner for the QRS mounts. Bike shops sell them

Also take care getting to the rear top mounts when removing the trim and you will need a big *** socket/spanner set to undo the strut from the hubs., Fitting on back is ust like the front without steering arms really.
