its a long story..... going to mechanic tomorrow... but im getting a low deep "whomm"
sound when i turn left... ive had it since i hit my front left wheel sideways off a kerb.... (i had to replace the wishbone and get alignment done)... the same sound was heard before wishbone was sorted)...

been driving it hard round corners and the sound has returned louder since and now u can feel this "whomm" through the pedals... (the sound was always there when i turn left since knock - now its louder)

sounds as if its like a rolling noise ... you hear (whomp whomp whomp (sound occurs every sec when turning)

mechanic said it could be possibly drive shaft.. someone else reckoned wheel bearing .. getting it closely looked at tomorrow....

my thoughts were to buy the whole area to eliminate the problem (suspension etc drive shaft)

could be wheels? dunno u got any ideas? (was side impact on left of front wheel with full right lock on)(understeer)

Thats one hell of a bill you are looking at instead of just fixing the problem!!!

I'd suspect wheel bearing first from that noise you describe, possibly even CV joint as its when you're turning.

is that easy enough to strip and repair... cause i was told that u cant simply strip the bearing?

It depends what you are comparing it to.... changing that whole side of the car will cost you a lot more in labour and parts than replacing a wheel bearing!

It needs to be done by someone with a press, as thats how they are fitted, CV joints are a peace of cake.

Exercise a bit of common sense here

take you hub off get it checked from a garage and if it is the wheel bearing get one from euro car parts and have it pressed in. has to be done with a press .if it dosen't solve your problem then it might be the cv joint .

ok how much does someone want for
1x complete driveshaft (front left hand side as if sitting in car)
dont mind it being second hand .. so long as its not damaged and functions correctly
