S2 Avant v RS2 ride height

I've read recently in another post that the RS2 rides lower than the S2 Avant.

How is this achieved? Is it that the RS2 has shorter springs or is the spring plaform in a different position.

I'm looking to buy some new rear shockers for my S2 Avant and have been considering the RS2 ones. Don't want to buy them if they are going to mess up the rear ride height though.

At the moment I'm trying to get through to VAGparts to place an order for, among other things, an RS2 front anti roll bar so your speedy answer means I can include the shocks in my order.

VAGparts phone is consantly engaged, presumably as a result of S2 forum members ringing up after Martins announcement about the RS2 farbs yesterday. I hope there's still one left when I get through.

I have RS2 shocks on my S2 Avant with no issues. I think you will find them cheaper at the Stealers though, surprising as it may seem.

Rang my local dealers. They are quoting exactly the same price that VAGparts are. I have heard before that RS2 rears were cheap at the dealers so maybe I've missed the boat on that one.

Koni is the easy alternative. But IMHO the OEM set are just right and you do not have to worry about settings

Both my local dealer and VAGparts are quoting £87.25 + vat for RS2 rears.

I'm buying a few bits for my avant, new bomb, RS2 front and rear arbs, etc and the RS2 rear shockers are the only thing that the dealer quoted anywhere near the same price as VAGparts.
