    Nice trim bushes

    Guys,

What are the experiences with bushes from you peeps?

I am after changing most of the bushes on the car, I have read about the rear diff mount bush from powerflex and looked for alternatives and there are none, so powerflex is the way on that one.

    But what about the rest,:

    wishbone : Powerflex or superflex?
Roll bar : Powerflex or superflex?
    Subframe : Superflex or alloy?

Admitedly superflex are more expensive for the whisbone bushes but cheaper on the roll bar side and vice versa for powerflex.

Any thoughts on what to go for. Also I guess engine mounts and gear box mounts are generally the OE sort.

    Cheers

Is there a specific reason that you're looking for the polypropylene bushes? My experience with the rear diff mount bush is that it seems mainly to increase transmission vibration through the chassis...

If you can get them, use the Superflex bushes. So much better than Powerflex IMHO. Better made and easier to fit.
I couldn't get Superflex bushes for the front wishbones, as I have the forged wishbones with the larger bushes, which Superflex don't do, so I had to get Powerflex ones. What a PITA to say the least.

I'm also using the Powerflex rear diff mount, and it's a lot better than my knackered stock mount, which fell out when I moved the subframe!

Anyone use the Bilstein ones, anyone know the equivalent colour or should I find the green ones?

Comfort does not really bother me as i don't really do that many mile in the car (it's the fuel prices you know), and improvin the handling would be good But I am going to see what has gone other than the mounts on Friday as I now have to work all wk as someone had a mishap.

Anyway What top mounts, Blue from Vagparts or the Bilstein ones????
