    3B Coupe Coilover kit?

    Hi,

Me + Mihnea looked at a nice H+R/Bilstien coilover kit for the S2, problem is I can't find it again and Mihnea can't remember where it was either...

So, anyone here got any good pointers? Product numbers, etc? I think it was a german website, priced fairly well if I remember (the kit was about 1000EUR if I remember). Anyone got coilover's as a search yields very little!! I'd like to know any BTDT experiences with coilovers versus a regular spring/shock change (again, if I went this route it'd be H+R/Bilstein).

    Cheers

There is no coilover kit from H&R for S2. There is one for t89q in general. S2 is heavier and therefore the kit might need different springs etc. They advertise it for 4 and 5 cyl models...

Above kit is not for sport susp. Meaning that there are no rear arb lugs. Or perhaps it is? Number is for sport but text says no.

        29 503 - 2 for sport suspension
29 503 - 1 for normal one without rear arb

They all need your old struts as an exhange units.

Cheapest place to source h&r-everything is www.reifenversand.com

            Hmm.. what bout this http://www.europerformance.co.uk/pag...mhtml?id=41455

Any other options, or am I best just resorting to the H&R/Bilstein cup kit? I'm thinking I'll be wanting to firm up the ride when I've got another 100bhp...

If you don't mind me asking? How much exactly are you planning to spend on your S2?

LMAO fair point.. I guess I get too much time on my nightshifts to search the forums and get all these ideas. You know, it helps when you don't have things like weddings to pay for either

HIDs - gonna take a look around at the garage meet; if I figure I'd rather have the ellipsoids too I'll wait on that one...
Rods - currently finalising plans on that one for the group buy
Turbo - hopefully I'm sorted on that one
Downpipes - expect to hear from Longlife before the week is out
"Engine bits" - I know what other internals I need for the HG + bearings job (thaniks Martyn)

Good job I didn't post up my recent enquiries to VAG Parts about a short-shift kit, aero wipers and an RS2 FARB

Oh, I'm interested ot know about clutchnet goodies as well

I think my bank manager is gonna hate me

                      12mm or 14mm

If you guys don't mind, I'm posting this here so that another forum member can view the pic. However it's on topic. When getting coilovers, be sure to tell them whether you have 12mm or 14mm holes, like in this pic:
