    Knocking noises and drop Links

Those who were at the garage meet would know that i had some knocking noise issues with my car after the suspension swap.

After scrathing heads with Ant i let Ian at church road garage have a look and he diagnosed the drop links were f.u.b.a.r

Got new drop links from GSF (and they are identical to the ones that were on the car which came with my RS2 FARB) and hey presto, knocking noises are no more!

The handling has picked up as well, so much so i'm going to change the rears as well to see if i can get an improvement there.

Ant hope it cleared up your knocking noises as well.

Do GSF do the rears as well? If so, what's the part no?

I'm fitting front droplinks when I do the RS2 FARB, and was thinking that it'd a good idea to the rears as one is a bit funky, when my Whiteline RARB arrives from QRSport (got the last one ) this week!

Yup replaced my front ones and knocking noises have gone now too.

Altho discovered something else which has to be disturbing as im sure its not meant to do it.

I wanted to check other things whilst the car was on the jack.... i put the jack on one of the mounting points for the wishbones (rear joining point of the front leftside wishbone) and when applying pressure, it moved upward on the jack, the car never moved, surely this should be in a fixed location and not move like this?!!?

It's not listed on the computer system as stock, if you have the GSF part number i'll chase it up.

Yeh thats what i was thinking Greg and surely it should be fixed to the car and not moving at all!

I'll have to get under there this week to investigate, hope its not more expensive bits or hassle to put right.

Might be why the car tramlines still and sometimes feels a bit floaty, like a crosswind on the motorway.
