Bolt Size

Hi Guys,

Just been out under the car checking a few bits and need to ask a quick one. What size are the front and rear ARB bolts (the ones that hold the bushes on)? Mine look well rusted and are going to be a pita to get off. Also I take it the whitline RARB comes with a flat plate and the rounded plate. Now I know the rounded plate goes round the bush, does the flat one go across the bush and between the bush and the subframe (if you get me)? Also, what is the pouch of white stuff for. The bushes are split so go on no probs? In other words what part do I put it on?

Just to let it be known, I had no problems with these bolts. Perhaps give 'em a quick test with a 13mm spanner. I expected to after 15 years but actually they came out no problem... what caused real issues was removal of the droplinks! I ended up replacing those as well.

Yellow bushes, yes they're split, and you've got the right idea for mounting the ARB to the subframe.

Cool. Cheers Guys. I am going to get some new bolts then, just to be on the safe side and I think it would make them easier to replace in 15yrs time!!!!!

P.s. Is it the same for the front?
Anyone know if the FARB (RS2 one) from VAg parts comes with bushes???

RS2 FARB does come with bushes from VAGParts, they are the OEM items.
Bolts are same front and back, they are pennies from dealer and will be correct length so may as well get genuine to save messing about with B&Q and cutting them down etc
