New front springs. Which way up?

The colour code on the springs always points downwards towards the damper housing.

Yes the colour dots should be at the bottom of the strut near the wheel.

BTW should there be a hose attached to the nipple on the top of the wastegate housing?

Another question... what colour should the dots be? I've got 2 blue, 2 orange and a white one on my new springs.

These are correct if your car has air con. Part number 895 411 105 A.

Yes non air con springs are 2 orange, 1 white, 1 blue part number 895 411 105
