    Rs2 Farb

just injected some RS2 DNA into my S2 by fitting an RS2 FARB. Best mod since the MRC remap.

Amazing how much extra turn in and confidence you get from just 2mm more dia on the bar.

          whiteline RARB

No, not yet but very tempted to get one to fit. how does it improve over just the RS2 FARB and std rear. will it reduce the feeling of oversteer i get having the RS2 FARB fitted? i quite enjoy the car as it is. what handling changes did you get having both fitted?

          Cheers

I found the turn in improved on the RS2 arb, but there was slightly more understeer when you push the car more. With the rear arb it is alot more neutral and you can occasionally get a touch of oversteer

              whiteline RARB

Sounds good to me, especially as the mod isnt too expensive (<£100)

is it as easy to fit as the FARB? and does it come with all the neccesary rubber/bolts as supplied with the FARB i got from VAG parts?

Yup all comes with fixings. easier than the front too since there is no engine cover to remove. Just unbolt from subframe then from the drop links.

You re use the original bolts tho, could do with some slightly longer though.

I found that the original bolts were way too short and was annoyed that they did not supply longer bolts, since they are supplying a thich backing plate which is not there on the OEM, so it is ****** obvious that longer bolts are needed.

Still, I quickly forgot about it when I felt the improvement

                  Cheers n

Im fitting my RS2 FARB later this week.

BRY - How much is the rear?

Do I need any additional bolts/links for the FARB or can the old ones be re-used?

                      I have metal drop links....

                        J,
The uprated Rear ARB for the coupe are not Audi, you have to get a whiteline as the superior RS2 is an estate.
Front is direct replacement so there should be no problem with your exisiting bolts etc. unless you kill them during removal. Be careful with the drop link nuts, they can be tricky. New drop links are ~ £15 each.

Aah, the classic RS2 FARB/ Whiteline RARB mod...
I've had it on my S2 for over a year now and it really is a great improvement to the car's handling. Better turn in, more stable mid-bend and a nice little bit of rear end entertainment if you're booting it on exit. Really flat through corners too, and basically makes it a much more fun car to drive.
Better still, the Whiteline is adjustable with 3-levels of stiffness, so you can tweak it to your own preference.
                          Highly recommended

In short, this mod is fantastic - won't be regretted, the car is less nervous, has better turn-in, more responsive, more neutral handling and no body roll... and, if I can fit it, then anyone can

Hardest part by the way is to remove the arb from the drop-links, my rear links were shagged so I ended up replacing them - as I had no axle stands or patience, I rolled round to a local garage and put it on the ramp - wheels off for access - and it was done in a matter of minutes.

                              Greg,

the bolts on the front brackets are N 101 016 03.

Are the same required for the rear, but slightly longer? What size are they, does anyone have a description for the above part?
