steering linkage on RS2..me have a question

on the RS2 and im sure o the S2 also, the steering linkage is mounted on the underside of the "arm" on the damper strut. what will happen if i mount it on the upperside instead ?
the ballend on the steering linkages dont clear my tires, and if i mount them on the upper side it would resolve my problem, but im afraid it would alter my steering geometri..
    anyone willing to help ?

    thanks

I would either fit spacers to move the tyres or go for narrower tyres.

The tie rod end is not designed to take the load from below. I wouldn't be surprised if it sheared off the first time you hit a bump.
