Hey guys,

Just been mooching through a few catalogs that I have lying about and thought I would have a hunt on the net,

Any of you guys used Weitec or avo dampers before???? I have been looking over the pond and have found that both companies do stuff for our cars... Just a thought as the full setup for the CQ was only 495 euro. May be worth a shot in the future.

Also is it fairly simple to do a coilover conversion??

im running a weitec system on my CoupeGT.

Just the normal dampers and springs, lowered 40mm, but no complaints from here, its been on the car for 3 years now and still runs great.

Would have no worries about choosing weitec again

I had Weitec on the bombay badboy and it was spot on.

Decent quality kit with good ride and handling. Reasonably priced as well. I'll be getting another set for my TDi.

Can't decide on 40/40 or 60/40 or 60/60 though

Just have to check on if they fit the cq20 that i have, Should work well with the RS2 FARB and the Whiteline rear.

Just had a price back - £375 inc the dreaded. Not bad really, that is for the ultra Gt setup (shocks and springs) also asked about coilovers and KV will do a full fast road/race setup in coilover format for £709, including taking your leags and derusting and galvanising and painting etc, also includes camber adjustable top mounts...... Now that is worth a thought as the konis and bilsteins are not too far behind on that price are they if I remember corectly..
(koni's front £107 + vat, rear £114 + vat = £519. then there is the spring to think about ontop of that)

HMMMMMMMMMMMM, got to have a think as I'm very strapped at the mo, only forseable problem is the 45mm drop when I am on 18's....

Anyone else see this being a problem particularly on the front?

YEs Weitec do for the S2.......

Any thoughts on the 45mm drop though guys. Is that a no no or not???? Just think it may be a tad too much when sitting on 18's.

well azman .. the s2 is lowered more than the coupe ... so that sort of drop would bring your coupe to the height of a lowered s2 ... I hope this helps .....

weitec ... is that good quality suspension ... I mean whats difference between hR and bilsteins?

Don't know but the two on here that have used them are happy so I will prbably give it a shot after the exhaust has been done, save a fair bit of money too.
