topmounts! which way up?

quick but stupid question!, just put some kw variant one coilovers on my car, whilst doing so i changed the topmounts and stupidly forgot to note which way round they went! common sence tells me that the face of the bearing should touch the top of the spring cup on the coilover! is this correct of have i just driven 100miles on them incorrectly? also while i'm at it, when turning full lock it kind of knocks a bit is this just the topmounts bedding in? or is it the ridgid subframe mounts i got made causing the problem?

The mount should be the opposite way round to the picture here, i.e the colour faced section should be pointing to the ground.
