    Best suspension for RS2?

I'm in process of upgrading my suspension. Basically I just need a good feel for the street, I don't need any adjustments, maybe just a little lower/ stiffer springs and a set of good dampers. I'm thinking of H&R springs and red koni's or bilsteins. Is that a good choice?

The koni red's are just there replacement for stock items, you need the yellow's if you are going to chose Koni.

If 'good for the street' is your aim I would keep the standard springs and put konis on with rear set 1/4 turn in from softest setting and front 1 1/2 turns from softest.
      Ideal set up IMHO

I replaced my ageing shocks and springs with new OEM RS2 shocks and H&R springs, perfect for me and i live in London.

I would agree with that option Tim. Less setting up hassle however can you tell if replacing the springs had any impact?

Definately much better handling, if a bit stiffer. I guess it is difficult to make a judgement as the shocks that i took off were original and a couple were leaking. The car sits lower which i like and like you say theres no adjustment which i wanted.

I guess just replacing with new OEM would have yielded similar results, but i think overall it has improved the way the car handles on the road and track

Direct bolt on is rs4 rear anti stabilizer that is (only) 1mm with more material from 16mm to 17mm. That will add slightly the oversteering compared to stock. I have no personal driving experience. Based on the fact that biturbo s4 rear anti stabilizer 15mm can be upgraded with that rs4 part and the biturbo s4 part can be installed to s2 avant (has 12mm a.stab) , sedan or rs2. The rs2 antistabilazers make s2 avant or sedan much nicer to drive with stock shocks & vag sport springs.

It would be nice to know the antistabilizer dimensions that were in Audi factory 80 DTM racer in early 90s.

Thanks for replys. I have now ordered H&R springs for S2 Avant, since they were half the price of RS2 springs. I was told they are OK, maybe even same springs. I have also been offered a new set of S4 (B5) yellow koni's dirt cheap and someone told me I can use them. Does anyone have better knowledge?

Yep, I'm more than satisfied. Springs lowered the car only about 15mm, which is just about perfect. I got the springs from ebaymotors.de.
