  • Bushings in subframe

I "tried" to change the 4 bushings in my sub-frame today, but the fot damn stupid low quality original bushins all 4 got ripped apart, and they were all oiled in, before pressing them in.....arghhhh

Order 4 more tomorrow, any tips on getting them mounted in one piece?

A wise man once told me when changing these, to file a slight angle on the end of the bush that goes into the subframe, this helps to get the bush in and started, then the rest is easy.

Sounds like I may need to do this soon too. How do you change these ? One at a time? I imagine you can't actually take the front subframe off since the engine is mounted to it (i think ??).

Couple of pics would really be nice while you are down there, Steffen
