Anyone know if this will fit....

Hi all just my luck i've only just solved my boost leak and it looks like my power steering pump is knackered fluid is fine no leaks but when moving the wheels i get a violent jerking motion can anyone tell me if the pump off a 93 s4 2.2 turbo will fit there is one on e-bay at the moment which is very cheap if not can anyone tell me if the listing euro car parts shows is correct they show the oem pump at £350 which i believe is about right but they also show a LISSE part under the s2 aby at £136.45 which is a massive saving i know the oem part is likely to be better quality but i need to get back on the road quickly and there is now way i can find another £400 this month so i'll be without a car for a couple of weeks till payday if i can't get it sorted cause my landrover's in the garage as well it's not been a good couple of weeks any help would be greatly appreciated

The S4 and S2 steering boxes are different items I'm afraid.

Please punctuate your posts as they are very difficult to read.

Thanks for that, i'll have to see if the pump at euro car parts is the correct one.

Sorry about the punctuation I was just typing wildly as i'd just come to go out in the car when this happened. I've already spent in the region of a grand this month on the old girl and this is just another kick in the teeth, i'm rapidly running out of disposable cash till payday. Oh well i suppose it's all part of the joys of ownership

      Thanks again Rich

you might want to check the PAS belt if it get wet it can slip and cause the same effect, I found this out when my aux rad was leaking water everywhere.

Hi all thanks for the advice, after spending a couple of hours messing about i have found my problem the nut for the powersteering belt tensioner had sheared in two!! Anyway a quick walk to my local motor factors and i've got a new one and the problem is no more.

Just for info for anyone interested the bolt was still in position so it was only when i came to take the belt off for inspection that i found out it had snapped, and the adjustment was obviously letting the belt go slack when the engine was running, thus causing the violent jerking on the steering every time the belt slipped.

Well hopefully thats my problems sorted for another day (i wonder what tomorrow will bring ) i do so love owning cars
