Coupe suspension
Hi. Am replacing worn out standard shocks on my coupe. It’s done 93000 miles. It’s obvious they’re tired as one’s leaking. Question is whether the springs will be goosed also at this mileage and need replacing or do they not really wear out by this mileage as no moving parts? I will be sticking to original height springs. It’s for normal road use. Have uprated ARB’s.
Regarding shocks with standard springs I’ve heard advocates for:
Bilstein B6’s (but raise the height a tad which I don’t want!)
koni yellow
OEM
OEM but RS2 front
Am thinking to try OEM rear but RS2 front. Am hoping this won’t be a let down and all mushy but will be a hell of a lot better than what I’ve got now. Anyone done this and been really happy? Thing is everyone upgrades from old sha88ed suspension and everyone says their new setup is lightyears better than original – not a lot of people seem to replace with new original though. Is new original really mushy as hell?
