    034efi Engine/tranny mounts ?

Hi guys, my first post in here

We're a couple of guys from sweden looking for better engine/tranny/diff mounts and i found these at 034efi.com

Does anybody in here use these? are the any good ?

How will the car change if mount these?, will the vibrations drive you mad ?

Do they improve gear shifting anything?, i have problem getting into 2nd gear when doing standing still starts and fast acceleration.

The engine mounts are on a small list that Corey is attending to at the moment, so once I pick it up tomorrow I'll let you know how it feels.

If you replace all of the mounts on the drivetrain (2x engine, 2x transmission, 2x diff and then the rear dif mount) you will positively lock the lock train, there will be a slight increase in harshness and a bit of vibration but nothing that is intolerable.
Try them, if you don't like them I will buy them back.

Ok, that sounds ok, it really doesn't matter if there a lot of vibrations as i only use it for racing/"sundaydriving" anyway.

Although it would be nice if it works ok as a road car to but thats not the major objective as i said.

Well i guess i'll just have to try it out an se for myself, i'll get back to you when it's time to buy.

Thanks for all of the answers.

Btw , does anybody have problems after fitting 034 efi engine mounts that the engine sits too low ? (not enought clearance with subframe) ?????

                    034 mounts

Ive fitted these mounts on eng, box and diff. Only problem I had with fitting was the rear diff bush which was very slightly oversized, turned down in the laithe no problem.
Driving on the track, the car feels more positive, stiff, more like a racing car. There are more vibes , but hey mines a track car. The main advantage i've found is that they stop eng and box torque movement, before the engine was trying to climb out. As for the clearence from the sump to the x-member , looks fine to me.

i have these in my type 85 race car, both engine and box mounts, umm, they are rather harsh, dont think id fancy them on the road, however, on the track it would appear for the first time that the motor aint gonna escape! Brilliant, seeing as my last attempt ended with the engine pushing the front crossmember forward, and bending the front of the car! well worth fitting, but not on the daily driver i think!

Has anyone put the whole package in (engine, tranny, diff mounts) + powerflex bushes.

What level of vibration can one expect? Is is usable for everyday driving?

                            transmisison / front diff mounts

The USA guys on Audiworld.com seem to favour using Allroad tranny & front (side) diff mounts. These are hydraulic rather than just bonded rubber. They allegedly fit with very minor modification (+ shorter fixing bolt). Anyone from here or over the pond used these and can advise on fitting or impressions??
If anyone's interested just search on 'allroad mounts'.

Im not a fan of the owner of 034. We were on a list together and as he was starting out. He would fluff his stuff up a lot to get people to buy it. Thats fine as long as its not a lie. There were a few times i asked the right questions and he of course answered in favor of his stuff and was lieing about the answers. They werent little white lies. I have no respect for anyone who lies to try to sell stuff. I will never buy any of his stuff.
Another forum i'm on shares my views of him. Maybe he changed? I dont think so. One member installed two different bolt on kits and had a world of difficulty using the supplied stuff that "works." He has been a mechanic his whole life and can fabricate a kit himself, but this was for a customer who wanted "the best." The laundry list of stuff that was wrong/not possible was crazy. I know we are talking mounts in this post, but its the principle. Just a little fyi.
