Might be worth checking and replacing your subframe bolts as well.

If there has been enough force to twist/shear the end off of the wishbone, the subframe bolts will have taken some punishment too and may be fatigued or bent, particularly as there will have been no give in the ally bushes they are mounted in either.

Not sure on progress, but I think 034 are working on rosejointed wishbones that will allow some caster adjustment too. Maybe speak to Corey?
      Hope this helps.

I replaced my front wishbones on my MB with those from the RR. You also need the Ball Joints to go with them. I noticed much better turn in after fitting. Most people I've spoken to don't recommend using these so called stiffer bushes, claiming that they don't really benefit the handling. With that type of oomph you have there though, I don't know!!!

I dont think seam welding would of fixed that failure! Thee alloy "bushings" caused this as they didnt allow the free movement of the arm over the required arc.

If its of any use i have one cast a-arm that i think fits a ur-quattro. Its not an S2/RS2 item so it must be off a UR. I think its the drivers side, if you want it your welcome to it.

Thanks Mark but i think that I need to get S2 ones to match my S2 hubs. They have a slightly different ball joint set up.

Can you S2 guys confirm that there was a cast item supplied with some S2s?

                        Thanks again though.

                          Des,

For some reason you post didn't work but i got the summary in the email notification.

I would be interested in the S2 cast wishbones. How much did you want for the pair?

IM me if it is easier.

As far as i know it was hit and miss as to whether an S2 got cast or pressed type wishbones. Mine had pressed as standard but now i have cast.

nothing wrong with what your wishbones have done there thats what there designed to do! stops you bending your subframe or the rest of your car!!

seriously tho you need to throw those bushes at who ever sold them to you

i would also advise people on the forum where you got them of your experiance before someone gets hurt or killed, this product has obviously not been tested

you need *some* give in there, PU or nylon is more than good enough for what you are trying to do

what else has been changed on this car that is an acident waiting to happen?

for your own safety and everyone elses i would get it checked out by someone
