Are Febi parts just clones or better than the Audi equivalent?

Febi (Bilstein) are the OEM part supplier to Audi for topmounts aren't they? APG or Martyn, shed any light??1995 S2 Avant with some upgrades

I've had plenty of Febi parts over the years. Never had any problems with them. Lee - the top mounts from Febi are identical to the ones I've seen from Audi. The only difference is the price

HI,
I replaced my lower wishbone bushes with a febi replacement, 4000 miles later the rubber tore out of the metal casing. I then ordered the Audi part, which wasnt' the easiest task as there are two differnt types of wish bone used on the S2 forged and pressed, when I recieved them they were considerably more robust and 6000 miles later no probs
Not to say tho that other Febi parts I have orderd have been spot on.
