Bit of a Boo Boo!

Hi all,
Started to replace front wishbone bushes today, all was going well untill one rubber bush came away leaving the outer metal sleeve still in the wishbone, which we tackled with a hacksaw and yip you've guessed it, went a bit too far with the hacksaw and ended up cutting into the wishbone approx 1 mm deep ! Now the question is has this weakened the wishbone and should i replace it or would it be okay to reuse ?
( Btw, wishbone is the cast one - on RS2 )

You have weakened it.
I would replace it, but I have got two spare sets.

have had that before but never a millimeter deep, though I've never changed the wishbones after that. Actually I don't believe that it isn't safe anymore

A brave statement based on the information given so far.

They usually break on the leg and not the bush housing end, but without seeing it there's no way I would condone using it.
They only cost £10 on Ebay, if you know where to look.

It's a stress point.

It would probably develop into a crack.

It is a highly loaded part of the suspension.

Replace it.
