Rear subframe bushes where is up and down?

    Hello all.

I am restoring the rear subframe of my Audi S2 3B Coupe .
Next step will be to press in the new bushes.
I forgot to take photos from the original positions of the bushes.
The frame was sandblasted 1,5 years ago. First layer of paint came on a year ago and the last layer last week :-).

Can you please tell me which side is up from the viewpoint of the underlying print?

Would it help to warm the bushes before pressing them in, or will a little bit of grease do the trick?

    Thank you in advance

    Andreas

The ribbed end of the bushing goes up and contacts the floor of the car. Use lots of fairly liquid as lubrication.

The second type is not ribbed.
I think the side with more metal visible will face toward the floor of the car?

I agree, the end with the rounded lip goes up, same as the other two bushings.
