Think the bigger diameter is rear, smaller front.

Also, is there a correct way up the springs sit?

Anyone else? Surely someone can give a definite answer to my original post.

Is it taller springs at front and shorter at the rear?

If the part numbers are still visible you should be able to find out from that. On my Avant the rear springs are much smaller and tighter. To establish which way up, locate the top cap until it rests on the spring stop and it should be a snug fit. You could try a test fit in a strut. If you have the wrong one it will be very tight or too loose.
sorry I can't be more help but I've not done a Coupe (yet)

I had all the components shot blasted so have no visible part numbers. I have tried test fitting with a top cap/cup but neither looked or felt correct. Gonna spend all day 2mrw at it.

                    As said.
Bigger diameter (14,8) rear, smaller (14mm) front.
