  • Kw suspension crap service

Really pissed off with these I sent a coilover to them for a check over and it has taken them over a week to fix and it only needed a new shock a 10 minute job to change. They sent it by 24hr courier yesterday and it hasn’t turned up yet, can’t see it getting here until Tuesday really crap service as I had an email on Tuesday saying it’s ready for despatch and when I phoned them to pay they said it was still in the workshop and I would have to pay when I receive the invoice via e.mail

Suspect like most businesses at the moment, coronavirus probably has some impact on things.

I had a shock insert replaced years ago after chasing a knock for ages. I discounted it being a shock as they had done about 2k in 2 years. However it was, KW were brilliant even refunded my postage. It my just be a sign of current times. I love my mountain bikes and every time I order a part at mo they take a week or so to arrive. Low stock maybe?
I not sure if they produce everything in house at KW

It needed a new insert they said it was probably a broken dust cover and debris had got into the tube and damaged the insert however I sent them a picture of the cover and bump stop which still look brand new and they said it was probably a weak insert but because it was over 2yrs past the warranty it wasn’t covered I didn’t argue the case even though the car has only done just over 2000 miles since fitting them 4 years ago and the car was off the road for the whole of 2016 anyway it cost £86.99 for the insert and £15 to service it plus vat £131.66 total. just hope the other 3 don’t go the same way.

I had a very similar issue with my nsf in almost identical circs. I was just outside the 2 years but had chased the fault for about 6 months on and off. Not had issue since.. Thank fully

Think it's due to corona, ordering time for new kw v3 was almost 8 weeks from Germany atm. Waiting and waiting.
