  • Current bump stop options

    Alright gents,

I'm looking to renew my front and rear bump stops, more so the fronts as they are goosed.

As usual these items are NLA from what I can see, are there any aftermarket options that are suitable?

    Cheers
    Gordon

Autodoc are showing several options if you're feeling lucky?!

I have recently fitted Boge items to the front, and 10k on they are still lovely, which is more than can be said for other bumpstops I have fitted, which disintegrated in under 1000 miles on the roads round here.

Boge are a completely different make up, definitely the best I have seen.

        Evening gentlemen.

I did have a quick nosey at Autodoc but wasn't feeling the love for what was on offer.

Where can the BOGE one's be purchased from? if you've had 10k use out off them so far that will do me.

Cheers Simon, is it the BOGE ones he supplies?

Apologies, the ones I got were Delphi items, very nice.

I think the key is to get the ones with yellow foamy stops, they are much more resilient than the black ones.

These ones marked up as SKF look very similar, sadly Ebay do not keep old listing very long any more:

Anyone fitted these? I see the bump stop is rubber rather than foam, is this an issue?
                  Cheers chaps

No direct experience, but they look like the ones I had and got destroyed in less than a year.

Look for the yellow foam ones if you want them to last.

I was thinking I had read somewhere to stay away from the black bump stops but wasn't sure if there were black rubber and foam ones available. I spoke with Pete Reeve from Quattro Corner and he says that UR Quattro ones front and rear will work on the S2.

Did you replace front and rear from Quattro Corner, if so were they the same design? Were the bump stops made from yellow foam? Did they fit the original S2 boots or did you purchase them new at the same time?

                        Sorry for all the questions

                              Hi Guys,

I purchased these a few weeks back and got round too fitting today, only to find out that the hole in the bump stop is not big enough for the OEM 3B shock to fit through. It would need opening out a good bit, but and reluctant to start butchering it since they are sold as correct fit.

Anyone else have the same issue?
