    Switching Servotronic help plz

Hi Everyone, I think I read here somewhere that someone had put a switch on their servotronic, my question is can anyone tell me which wire to tap into for the switch? has anyone got a spare dash switch kicking around?
I've recently put on a set of 18in rs4 wheels which have accentuated tramlining ect not felt with my 16ins, reading the forms here I decided to disconnect the sevotronic and it's helped alot, I am toying with the idea of switching the servotronic on/off for parking ect.
    Your help appreciated please.
    Best wishes Condor..////.

I don't understand how different wheel size will effect the steering. Maybe there is something else going on

Could be something else going on, but fitting larger wheels makes this happen too. rs4 reps are generally 8 inch width (wider than std 7 or 7.5), and 225 width tyre (wider than the norm of 205). This combined with a ET (offset) of 35 compared to most std 16 wheels of 37 widens the track width of the wheels (overal width of tyres spacing on the road).

Hope this makes a bit of sense.

the improvement you will feel getting totally rid of the servotronic will bypass the need for a switch I think. In a coupe, just unscrew the two screws holding the seat base down and then on the drivers side you should find the box, just disconnect and replace the seat, turn on and suddently find some proper steering weight and feel.

If the car is tramming all over the place I'd get a proper 4-wheel alignment done to ensure its correct, however with wider/bigger wheels you will find that you do get some tramline effect on poor roads but if it's tugging all over the place then something is out of line or worn. You could also check the condition of the main suspension parts, especially bushes. It's a pain but once everything is in good condition you can enjoy the drive much much more.

        Cheers
