These change hands at events occasionally and are widely available on eBay and some schlonky Russian sites. Be careful with the latter know - I aint risked them yet.

Technically speaking it isn't a sybject for open discussion on the forum as Audi frowns on dodgy copies of this software - they are too stupid to realise that the proliferance of such software only makes it easier for Audi owners to buy the parts they need - and it saves time at the dealerships when you walk in with a printout of exactly what you need. Audi gets money for all these original parts whether they get bought at the dealers, VAGparts or wherever.

Wish there was an on-line equivalent of that for Elsawin - actually if Audi priced it fairly I would subscribe to an official service from them for that capability. Did I really say that - OMG ?

I think many would, what is Elsawin? It's cropped up a few times recently on the forum in conversation.

its a dvd based resource in the dealers that presents a scripted walk through of all documented maintenance procedures on recent vehicles. It also has lots of drawings and schematics - but recent cars only. Never used it myself but have heard good reports... Its kind of like having all of the documents from Erwin on DVD that can be accessed from your PC.

Can someone bring it to the meet at MRC - I for one would like to see it - not for S2 but to see if it will save me a bucket of cash at Erwin for docs on the Allroad. Seeing as how they have restructured payments on that site - a ripoff 400 Euro is required to be able to download and print the technical documents over a 30day period. It used to be 4 or 18 Euro for individually downloadable/printable documents which was perfect when you just needed access to stuff as it came up... Now you need to cough 400 Euros and spend the next month of your life downloading / printing as much as you can to justify the crazy price. Its so infuriating !
